A free program from MyWhatIf Foundation and STAR Network Foundation

When someone’s future depends on you, what happens to yours?

You care for someone else. This space is for you.

A free caregiver program from MyWhatIf Foundation and STAR Network Foundation, combining structured reflection, human peer support and community.

Free to participate

No cost to join, and no cost later.

Support begins now

Peer-support access arrives as soon as you join.

Cohort date announced soon

Your MyWhatIf sessions start when the cohort opens. This is not a waitlist.

Who this is for

You may not call yourself a caregiver.

You may be a daughter caring for a parent.

A husband caring for a partner.

A parent supporting a child.

A sibling.

A relative.

A friend, or chosen family.

Maybe this is temporary. Maybe it has shaped your life for years.

Caregiving can hold love, meaning and closeness. It can also carry exhaustion, uncertainty, isolation, grief, frustration and questions that rarely have room to be asked.

You do not have to choose between caring deeply for someone else and making room for yourself.

The program

One program. Two ways to be supported.

With other people
STAR Network Foundation

Hear and
be heard.

  • Live online meetings.
  • Led by a trained mentor who has lived it.
  • Speak, listen, or just be there.
  • What is said there stays there.
  • Not therapy, and not a diagnosis.
With yourself
MyWhatIf Foundation

Ask and
imagine.

One What if? A possibility. Another.
One question each week
Ask one What if? about your past or your future.
As many answers as you want
MyWhatIf creates new possible outcomes: personalized simulations of how it could unfold. Explore one, or ask for another.
Not prediction
MyWhatIf doesn’t tell you what will happen. It helps you imagine, and pursue, what could.

How a MyWhatIf session works, in full ↗

You don’t have to choose. The program brings both together.

Everyone who joins receives both. After you register, we’ll show you how to reach STAR peer-support resources right away.

Your MyWhatIf cohort begins when it opens, and we’ll announce the start date in the coming weeks.

You shouldn’t have to carry it alone.

Or lose yourself carrying it.

What if your future belongs in the conversation, too?

Caregiving can make the immediate feel enormous. The next appointment. The next decision. The next difficult day.

Over time, it can become harder to ask a different kind of question:

What do I hope for now?

MyWhatIf creates a structured space to explore questions like that without asking you to relive or retell everything that brought you here. Not to give you someone else’s answer. To help you find more possibilities for your own.

How it works

Four moments. Join. Connect. Reflect. Continue.

Join the free caregiver program.

A few simple questions. No application or qualification process.

02 · Connect

Human support can begin now.

After you join, you’ll immediately receive access to STAR Network Foundation’s TAR Anon peer-support resources.

04 · Continue

Support doesn’t end with a session.

Peer connection and community continue alongside and beyond your MyWhatIf experience.

Why we work together

Support shouldn’t end when a session does.

MyWhatIf STAR Network Foundation

This program is built around a simple idea: imagining new possibilities, and staying connected to people who understand, can support different parts of the same journey.

MyWhatIf Foundation and STAR Network Foundation are bringing those experiences together in one caregiver program.

Technology can open possibilities.

People create connection.

Neither has to replace the other.

A human + technology model

Research in caregiver support has explored programs pairing a technology-supported intervention with peer support from other caregivers. In one small field usability study, family caregivers of people with dementia named the peer connection as the most valuable part, and said shared lived experience matched their needs better than professional support did. Changes in burden, stress and strain were not statistically significant, and the study was not designed to detect them.

That study examined a different program, not ours. We build on the broader principle and are testing our own approach.
